Hikvision soars to No 5 in world security top 50

Hangzhou, China

Hikvision, a leading supplier of surveillance products and solutions, soared to No.5 from last year's No.10 place in the A&S 2011 Security 50, a market survey based on the worldwide security industry leaders' revenue figures from the previous fiscal year.
Hikvision's five-place progress dramatically demonstrates its development in leaps and bounds for the year 2010, with the extraordinary sales growth of over 70%.

This annual accolade includes industry leaders from the product categories of Video Surveillance, Access Control, Biometrics, and Intrusion Detection. The ranking feature is a list of the most active, influential and thriving companies, as well as looking at their earnings.

"This jump of five-places reflects Hikvision’s immense improvement over the years. Apart from offering high quality products and instant after-sales services to the market, Hikvision also proved its capability to provide surveillance protection for top notch projects like World Expo 2010, the Shenzhen Universiade 2011, as well as the Chongqing safe city programme.” said Yangzhong Hu, president of Hikvision. “In the years ahead, it will always inspire us to develop more sophisticated products and to seek better solutions for the surveillance market."
