This announcement follows a succession of strategic engagements in which DVTel and DDN have delivered solutions for multi-thousand camera installations that combine DVTel’s award-winning iSOC-Intelligent Security Operations Center, an open standards, IP-based security management platform; DVTel’s ioimage intelligent video analytics; DVTel’s IP cameras; and DDN’s award-winning S2A9900 and xStreamScaler scalable video storage technology.

Leveraging the integrated DVTel-DDN reference architecture, customers can enjoy DVTel’s smart security solution providing leading-edge IP cameras and analytics, integrated with powerful, customizable video management software. It will allow customers to leverage open-standards technology to support massively scalable video surveillance deployments with more than 10,000 end points. The partnership will accelerate access to critical surveillance data with sensor data retrieval rates of over 1GB/s per system and latency as low as 1ms. There will be the ability to consolidate surveillance video ingest and retention onto a scalable video storage platform while maintaining flexible on-disk retention periods of six weeks to six years in a singularly managed, enterprise system. Users will be able to achieve 300% greater performance efficiency and NVR scalability compared to iSCSI-based methods of CCTV video storage.
