Geutebruck new cameras cut installation costs
Windhagen, Germany
Not only are these cameras simple to install, but they can also be set up without taking a laptop up the ladder. After drilling holes and mounting a G-Cam/E series camera, the installer simply plugs a tiny pocket-sized service screen into its analogue output and sets the viewing angle. Then the housing can be closed and the installer can move on to the relative comfort of a workstation or control room, from where the IP address can be assigned, and the remote-controlled motorized lens can be operated to adjust the image quality. The Geutebruck video system’s Camcheck feature can also be used from the workstation to create a reference image from each camera. This image not only allows the installer to document the installation for approval purposes, but also in the longer term, it facilitates quality control checks and system quality certification. Questions like: Has the field of view remained constant? Are the lens and housing window clean? Has vegetation grown to obscure the view? - are all easy to answer when a definitive reference has been pre-recorded.
