Fermax launches Skyline modular video system in Colombia

Bogota, Colombia

The Fermax Colombia office, now operating at full capacity just 4 years after its opening, recently hosted a presentation to introduce the Skyline video system technology to the market.
The presentation, held in the Bogotá Plaza, was attended by 75 professionals directly involved in the real estate and security industries.

Skyline is designed to provide all the answers to market needs, with the same equipment integrating: video entry system, acces controls and information devices. It is made up of 28 different parts, 8 frames and 20 modules to combine, enabling any equipment setup.

Integration options include audio and video, simple or dual pushbutton modules, digital keypad modules, directory displays, card holders for offices or signalling, informative screens, proximity or fingerprint readers, access control keypads or Bluetooth receivers for door opening by mobile phone, and so on. Fermax believe that this marks the end of uniformity, as the sheer versatility and possibilities with Skyline allow total freedom for creation and facilitation of its use in any sector: residential complexes, single family houses, offices and commercial premises, industry and business.

Fermax has developed its own software called Skyliner, which allows the user to customise their own Skyline system from the modules available, to set up according to specific requirements. The user may create an image or photograph of the design, or even draw up a customised budget with the image created and the list of materials necessary, to which the rest of the installation elements can be added.

Its modular design leaves Skyline ready to incorporate future technologies, new complements and accessories as and when required, which can be integrated easily.

The Bogota event which brought together distributors, installers, professionals and construction personnel, while also playing host to a number of Colombia's engineering companies and representatives of different architectural studios was hosted by Fernando Maestre, the firm's CEO, who sought to reinforce the importance of Skyline as an innovative, long awaited product, in addition to highlighting the success and strategic value the country offers within the marketing plan for the continent as a whole. Fernando Maestre then spoke about the developments and improvements in condo security allowed by video door entry systems and access control.

Four years ago, after having had a presence in the region for a many years, Fermax decided to make a clear commitment to growth in the region by opening a commercial office in Bogota which is managed by James Quimbaya. He has extensive knowledge of the brand after completing comprehensive training in Valencia, where the company has its central headquarters, and, according to the company, is applying Fermax's tried and tested working practices in the South American country with great success.

This presentation on Fermax’s new language for access control panels is part of the Skyline Tour, a global tour dedicated to this product line, having visited Melbourne, Birmingham and Paris and which will cover all the world’s largest cities.
