Optex detection products are integrated into the Exacqvision Professional and Enterprise VMS software (version 4.6 or later). Integrated Optex products include firstly, the Redscan Laser-Scan Detectors that identify moving objects’ size, speed, and distance from the detector. The device processes that information with a unique algorithm, resulting in a highly reliable detection system with minimal false alarms. And secondly, the PIE-1 POE alarm IP encoder, when used with Redwall SIP series passive infrared and Redbeam photo electric detectors, converts alarm signals to an IP signal sent to the Exacqvision client. The POE functionality also powers Optex devices.

“Combining Optex sensor and detector technology with Exacqvision will provide an efficient systems integration solution for users who want to effectively respond to security alarms and events with video verification,” says Ryosuke Miwa, Optex’s general manager of global sales and marketing. “Optex sensors and detectors actively reduce video driven false alarms. As a result, they can eliminate the need for costly responses by personnel.”

The Exacqvision integration forms part of the Optex product showcase at the ASIS International Seminar and Exhibits, Chicago, IL September 24 through 26. In addition, the Exacqvision VMS is being featured in the Exacq booth as well as other integration partner booths throughout the exhibition.
