DVTel helps reduce crime in Mexican cities
Birmingham, UK and Ridgefield Park, NJ
The DVTel platform is currently installed in cities located in San Luis Potosi, Durango, Guanajuato, and Nuevo Leon states, and it is scheduled to be deployed in at least four more cities. DVTel's success to date has been dramatic because other state installations-using non-DVTel systems-have encountered significant problems in installation and maintenance, while the DVTel-certified integrator teams have delivered all projects on-time and on-budget.
In each state deployment, the various city surveillance systems feed video back to a central command control center, located in the state capital. The 300-plus cameras deployed thus far across the 14 cities monitor main streets, city-center avenues, and highways. When real-time incidents are observed, central command personnel provide incident and suspect information and direct nearby law enforcement to take appropriate actions.
Both state and city government security personnel have praised the DVTel iSOC as an open, flexible platform; one that can easily, effectively be expanded, as two of the states already plan to do. Jorge Vasquez, GBS General Manager, comments that the installation process and end user satisfaction to date have been so impressive he's anticipating the next step "The Federal Government may be looking to standardize on a single platform to roll out to all Mexican states-the DVTel iSOC would certainly make an excellent choice"
"We have thousands of installation across the globe and our success depends on partners like GBS who know their market's needs and have solid relationships with important end users such as, in this case, the Mexican government. We are pleased with the confidence that the Mexican authorities and these four states have placed in DVTel" says Eli Gorovici, president and CEO, DVTel.
