Dominion chose AMAG’s Symmetry access control system because it would help them meet North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) requirements. NERC CIP is the government standard for the nation’s bulk energy providers. NERC CIP protects critical infrastructure from the risk of physical and cyber attacks. Symmetry meets all NERC CIP requirements for physical access control.

Dominion is one of the largest producers of energy with a portfolio of about 24,300 megawatts of generation, 12,200 miles of natural gas transmission, gathering and storage pipeline, and 6,500 miles of electric transmission lines. Dominion serves utility and retail energy customers in 14 states. Symmetry will secure plants in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Washington DC and California.
