Dedicated Micros offers scalability with new DV-IP encoder

Warrington, UK

DV-IP Encoder

Dedicated Micros launched a single channel, DV-IP encoder at IFSEC 2007 to enable the connection of additional analogue cameras over the network to a NetVu connected CCTV solution.

Dedicated Micros believes that the versatility built-in to its new DV-IP encoder - which is managed with NetVu ObserVer video management software - greatly expands the scope for CCTV solutions to be upgraded through the rapid deployment of cameras, without the need to completely replace existing elements of the system.

"Undoubtedly, today's CCTV solutions have to be scalable to meet the user's future demands as it is unrealistic to expect an end user to replace their entire legacy system just to add another camera. We see the DV-IP encoder as a key building block in a NetVu connected CCTV system, effortlessly integrating new and existing elements, offering the end user the most cost effective solution" says Pauline Norstrom, head of worldwide marketing at Dedicated Micros.

Through its featured telemetry support, it gives the user the ability to readily add analogue domes and PTZs, controlled from NetVu ObserVer or NetVu console, and, thanks to the new IP streaming and recording features in NetVu connected servers and DVRs, seamless recording and control is also now possible.
