County courthouse protected by Potter
Dallas, Or
According to the courthouse, in addition to the product being able to handle everything the courthouse needed, Potter provided timely and continuous support throughout the project. From training, programming to materials, Potter secured them what they needed, when they needed it, quickly and easily.
The integrator for the project was Allsafe Fire & Security, and their spokesman, John Ripplinger, Head technician on the project explaned: "The programming of the system using Potters programming software is made easy with the drag and drop feature. We had to reprogramme the entire system the night before the inspection because of some last minute changes and it took only 15 minutes to rewrite everything when it would normally take more than 4 hours with many other fire alarm systems that Allsafe has installed. The simple flags in the software allowed us to make the required changes and automatically know if they would work or not giving us the confidence that what we were doing was correct."
The user can now get nightly email updates or send texts for alarm or trouble and disperse these emails to key personnel. In comparison to the previous system which deployed 4 archaic panels that caused various problems, the new system based on just one panel is incredibly stable.
The system is very easy to operate, in that the user can read the buttons and know what to do right away. For exampe, they were able to immediately pinpoint some nuisance alarms during testing. There is a daily update email that goes to the main user and two other employees while a text message goes to the first responder. The Potter system reduced their cost because they no longer need remote monitoring. They are also now able to do their own strobe testing.
