Ipsecuritycenter will monitor security systems such as CCTV, motion detectors, gunshot detection and automatic license plate recognition (LPR) and when specified parameters are met, will automatically create an event within the Tiburon CAD system - the event is plotted on the map along with the address field and agency that is responsible for handling the event. The dispatch team at the agency designated to respond to a particular type of event will receive an automated response request. For example, a gunshot event picked up by a detector can trigger automatic, simultaneous alerts to law enforcement, medical services and special weapons and tactics response teams.
“Tiburon CAD automatically recommends the appropriate resources based on agency specifications and user-defined criteria such as responder skills, availability, territorial responsibility and proximity”, explains Cliff Micham, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Tiburon. “Integrating CAD and PSIM situation awareness technologies will enable higher rates of incident detection as well as improved emergency preparedness and more precise use of time and resources.”
“In the light of increased terrorism, natural disasters and the current global economic climate, cities in particular, are looking at new technologies to help them identify, understand and resolve incidents which require less personnel time ”, says Keith Bloodworth, CEO at CNL Software. “Using a PSIM/CAD solution to detect and respond to events before they escalate can save lives, limit damage and ensure safer cities.”
