Bosch extends its manual call point Series with new outdoor versions

Ottobrunn, Germany

Bosch Security Systems is extending its Manual Call Point range with versions offering IP 67 protection for reliable outdoor operation.
As with other members in the range, the new IP 67 protected FMC-420RW Series are used for manual triggering an alarm in the event of a fire and are compatible with the well- known Local SecurityNetwork (LSN) bus and the LSN improved version bus for Bosch Fire Panels.

The series includes single-action versions with a breakable glass pane (foil coated to prevent injury) that can be reset by insertion of a key and replacement of the glass pane, and resettable single-action versions that are reset simply by inserting a key. Mechanical activation that can be heard, felt and seen leaves no doubt about the successful triggering of the call point, and individual call point identification with display of the call point address on the fire panel ensures the quick location of the triggered call point.

Integrated isolators maintain LSN loop functions in the event of wire interruption or short-circuit, and the units’ robust alarm mechanism ensures extreme reliability for a long operating life with frequent usage.

The whole range is also certified according to the stringent EN54-11 European Standard for fire detection and fire alarm systems.

‘Plug-and-play’ installation facilitates easy setting up. Moreover, the units come with a wide variety of accessories such as bezels, keys and spacers to adapt to different mounting conditions.
