Bio Recognition Systems

Lane Cove, Sydney (Austraila)

Bio Recognition Systems has won "Most Innovative Security Product" in the Sensor category at the 5th Annual The Security Summit on June 5 in San Diego, California.

Over 30 companies representing five nations participated in the competition judged by an international panel
of security experts. The BRS BioLock+ security access control system was selected because of it's focus on innovation, direct applicability to current needs in the market, and "dual-use" in the private and government sectors. BRS received local support in the United States from Barbara Adams, district manager of Austrade - San Diego.

"This award is a great honor for BRS specifically because it confirms our product direction with a panel of internationally recognized security experts," said Phillip Crispe, vice president of global sales for BRS. "The judges are aware of the kinds of issues and problems that exist in the market and require solutions."

The BioLock+ is the world's first weatherproof and dustproof, IP65 Certified, biometric access control system capable of operating at the harshest of temperatures
(-18°C to 50°C). Using sophisticated micro-electronic technology the BioLock+ secures entry to a home or workplace using fingerprint identification. Each unit operates in standalone mode, or networked via a PC/server, and supports 100 fingerprint templates. With
an embedded Web-based browser it is easily customized to link individual reads to unique combinations of security clearance and entry, as well as integration to larger
access, control and command, and security systems.

"Across the board, this year's group of dual-use technologies are the strongest and most impressive yet," said Michael B. Jones, president of The Security Network.
"Being selected as the winning product among such a high-level of competition is testament to Bio Recognition Systems' focus on innovation that will have an impact in
the security market for many years."

Produced by The Security Network, a San Diego-based non-profit dedicated to "Fostering Innovation through Collaboration" to enhance regional and international
security, The Security Summit is focused on identifying and promoting the rapid utilization of innovative, dual-usage security products and services from around the world
to support the USD 1.4 trillion security market. Since 2006, The Security Summit has only honored 14 products with the title of "Most Innovative Security Product."
