AFI allows for easy migration to IP

Stamford, Ct

The new American Fibertek ERT-4-PoE+ transmitter allows users to utilise legacy coax cabling for IP devices

Integrators can take advantage of the numerous networking benefits IP systems provide without the expense of ripping and replacing existing coax with new Ethernet cabling. Plus it affords the user the cost-advantages of PoE, virtually eliminating the need for localised power supplies.

Supporting Ethernet data from AFI’s ECR-X-PoE receivers, the ERT-4-PoE+ transmitter supports transmission of up to four IP devices over a single coax cable. And when paired with the ERT-4-PoE+ transmitter power supply (sold separately), the combined solution delivers PoE or PoE+ power for all four IP cameras. Eliminating the need for multiple on-site power supplies.

Key features include support for 10/100Mbps data rates over RG59 coax cable, a transmission range of up to 2,600 feet (800 metres). The transmitter also supports PoE and PoE+ cameras and megapixel cameras and the housing is anodised aluminum with corrosion-resistant finish and LED indicators for link status and power.
