The announcement from ADT to its employees said that Mr. DeVries showed mild symptoms and was tested on March 31st, 2020.

Then on April 7th, he was informed that the test was positive. The company assured that Mr. DeVries has continued to perform his responsibilities as President and Chief Executive Officer at all times, and has not shown any symptoms since April 5th.

The Company maintains succession plans for all senior executives including temporary delegation of responsibilities to other leaders within the organisation if necessary for any reason.

Further reports say that the few people who were in close contact with Mr. DeVries in the last 14 days have been notified, and that none had shown any symptoms.

Jim DeVries was promoted to President and CEO in December 2018, after leading many of ADTs international and strategic improvements.
