Castel to launch open protocol IP intercoms at Ifsec

Braintree, Essex (UK)

Castel will be unveiling its high-specification, open protocol Xellip2 IP-based intercom at Ifsec International in London's Excel, later this month.

The intercom features new wide-angled HD cameras with 1200 x 800 resolution and is ONVIF-compatible to interface with other security and video surveillance systems. Sporting a new, sleek contemporary design, with back-lit and flushed nameplates, the Xellip2 has two output relays and two inputs for third-party integration, as well as two Ethernet ports (1x PoE plus an additional one for serial/bus architecture type and loopback).

Other features include echo and noise cancellation, built-in induction loop for compliance with anti-disability discrimination legislation (DDA), audio feedback and call status LEDs, power backup, built-in web browser and the ability to record audio and video. Xellip2 IP intercom kits will also be available for retrofit solutions, elevators and bespoke panels.

Castel will also be exhibiting its ability to create bespoke door entry panels and help points for transport, parking and public space applications. Also on display will be its Cloud app for tablets and smartphones and its XE MED solution, which features waterproof and easy-to-clean units for the healthcare sector.

“We are delighted that we are unveiling our new Xellip2 intercom at Ifsec International this year,” said Atmane Bensghir, Business Development Manager for UK & Ireland at Castel. “We are confident that with its HD video, rich features and great looks it will be a big hit at the show. We will also be highlighting our capabilities for creating bespoke solutions and providing the right products for specific market sectors.”
