A wide gamut of technologies from Optex at The Security Event

London, UK

The Optex UK team were exhibiting at The Security Event in Birmingham last week to showcase a range of leading solutions for creating an effective multi-layered security system, as well as demonstrating how its award-winning Intelligent Visual Monitoring solution can play an integral role in protecting residential and commercial premises.

The team were on hand to explain how different technologies can be utilised to provide highly accurate and highly reliable intrusion detection, based on layers of protection suitable to a whole range of applications from residential and home security to datacentres, industrial facilities all the way to large entertainment facilities.

An area of the stand was dedicated to the multi-layered approach for commercial and high security sites. This included the company's fibre optic sensors for fenced and buried perimeter applications, and Redwall long range volumetric sensors for approach detection. Optex also demonstrated the new functionalities and intelligence recently added to its long-range Lidars, including dynamic event filtering, which allows for alerts to be configured to meet specific detection criteria or logic.

Optex will also be running live demonstrations for its Intelligent Visual Monitoring solution throughout the event. The solution bridges together all components of your security setup to create a visually verified monitored solution, that can be professionally monitored by any participating alarm receiving centres, creating a highly reliable security solution, that eliminates false alarms that lead to false responses.

“Last year’s Security Event was very successful and for that reason, we have allocated more space on our stand to facilitate additional demos and pods,” said Mathew Oakley, Optex U.K. Sales Manager.

“Many people in the industry know us for specific products being under the Optex or Redwall brand, but very few know the width of our full portfolio from indoor Grade 2 and Grade 3 PIRs to CPNI approved fibre optic products, we can cater for all intrusion detection needs," he commented.
