This collaboration marks a significant milestone in CBP’s digital transformation journey and supports its long-term vision to become the leading digital bank in the region. The Entrust Digital Card Solution was selected by CBP for its all-in-one platform, offering robust functionality and seamless integration capabilities.
Through the Entrust Digital Card Solution, CBP now enables its customers to securely tokenize their Visa cards, allowing for faster, safer transactions. The bank’s mobile app also features a built-in payment wallet, empowering customers to make contactless purchases directly from their smartphones – eliminating the need for a physical card.
“This is a major step forward for digital banking in Papua New Guinea,” said Danny Robinson, CBP's Chief Executive Officer. “Here at Creditbank, we want to provide our customers with a better banking experience – one that’s convenient, safe, and simple. With Entrust, our customers can now open an account entirely online and instantly receive a virtual Visa card – no branch visit required.”
“We selected the Entrust Digital Card Solution for its strong technical capabilities and simple, all-in-one setup,” Robinson continued. “The platform allows us to integrate digital payments, tokenisation, and wallet features smoothly into our app, making it easier for customers to access and use modern banking tools.”
“Entrust is honoured to support Creditbank PNG in leading the charge toward digital banking in Papua New Guinea and helping to drive financial inclusion and innovation across the region,” said Tony Ball, President Payments & Identity at Entrust.
