Ability takes corporate ESG initiatives

Taipei, Taiwan

In order to fulfil corporate sustainable responsibility, move in coordination with international trends and answer to stakeholders’ concerns regarding risk assessments and countermeasures for environmental, social, and corporate governance, Ability is taking initiatives by working with PwC and forming the internal ESG (Environment Protection, Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance) steering committee.

The internal ESG (Environment Protection, Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance) steering committee, focusing on the three major missions of "environmental protection and energy saving (E), happy life together (S), innovation and sustainability (G)", combined with the 17 sustainable development projects announced by the United Nations in 2015.

The ESG steering committee includes senior executives from every business and functional unit, and reports directly to the board of directors. The first ESG steering committee meeting was held in December 2022.

At the meeting, the ESG steering committee confirmed the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the guiding principles for Ability’s short-, medium-, and long-term sustainable development policies, setting sustainable strategic development goals, and serving as basic strategies and action guidelines for responding to international trends and customer sustainable requirements.

The committee also calls for attention from each employee in regards to Ability Enterprise’s core 4A (Ability, Action, Association and Abundance) spirit, to work towards mutually beneficial relationships among employees, customers and suppliers.
