Vesda to host educational seminars in UK

Hemel Hempstead, UK

Following the success of previous road shows, Xtralis announces that Vesda will host a series of dedicated educational seminars that will tour the UK from September 2007 - June 2008.

These road shows will showcase the enormous benefits of Vesda aspirating smoke detection (ASD) as a powerful early warning system solution. Vesda's UK team will present a variety of in-depth case study application examples, which exemplify the success of Vesda ASD smoke detectors in the most challenging applications. Underlining the capacity of ASD as a valuable tool, these case studies will illustrate to consultants and designers that ASD can be specified not only with confidence, but as a 'de-facto' early warning solution.

Explaining the latest developments about the new product standard EN54-20, the seminars will illustrate how its classification system is set to facilitate the specification of ASD systems. The sessions will also summarise and highlight the most important aspects of the FIA Code of Practice (CoP). The Guide to the FIA CoP provides a short form and quick reference guide to anyone, particularly installers dealing with Vesda detectors.

As a powerful educational resource these road shows build on previous successes as an opportunity for end users, consultants, designers and installers to meet other members from the fire trade and learn about the benefits of ASD as a solution at all levels.

Offering an ideal opportunity to learn about the new EN54-20 classification and its benefits to regulate ASD in general, the seminars will de-mystify many other existing European fire standards, whilst offering the chance for many to get to grips with the FIA Code of Practice.

"Our investment in this road show series demonstrates our commitment to educating consultants, end users and the fire industry on best practice when it comes to commissioning, installing and maintaining aspirating smoke detection systems. Delegates attending the seminar will get the opportunity to learn how ASD products can be used in a wide range of applications, from large open spaces through to smaller business critical spaces such as telecom exchanges and computer rooms. We will also discuss how new regulations such as EN54-20 will affect the specification of ASD systems in the future" says Helge Rognstad, EMEA marketing manager, Xtralis.
