UTC SB range for mission-critical security applications
Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire
Setting up the new SB detectors with the required beam pattern is also made quick and simple thanks to an integrated alignment tool which provides both audible and visible signals.
“Our improved SB range provides even better detection performance for mission-critical site security applications,” says Kevin Swann, UTC’s UK Country Manager. “These new products are all backwards-compatible and are available with a wide choice of pillars and accessories.”
Offering a wide choice of security and fire products, UTC provides full training and support for installers across the UK. The SB detector range is ideal for a range of applications, including securing perimeters and creating special protected zones within site grounds. They provide highly accurate coverage, ignoring birds, small animals, blown leaves etc, at ranges from 50m up to 200m; the interconnectivity feature is included for the modules operating up to 100m.
The detectors also offer a choice of four user-selectable pulsed-IR frequencies (channels), to minimise the risk of interference between detectors. Each module operates as a transceiver, as it contains an in-built transmitter and receiver functionality, and contains an on-board regulated heater.
“Whatever your intruder detection challenge the new SB range is a really great tool,” adds Kevin Swann.
