UTC expect a landmark year at Ifsec

Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire (UK)

A host of important product launches in intruder, CCTV, integration and fire will be unveiled by UTC Climate, Controls & Security at Ifsec, making this year, according to the company, a landmark event.
The new products will include the Aritech wireless PIRcam sensor, a combined camera-passive infrared (PIR) unit delivering enhanced security through visual verification of alarms. The Advisor Advanced range of control panels will showcase end-user Apps and a new management software packaged for the Advisor Master and Advanced will be demonstrated. They will also present a complete suite of perimeter protection products, ranging from acoustic cable technology to active infrared (AIR) beam devices.

In the CCTV arena an upgraded video management system is being released, further enhancing the capability of the Truvision recorder range and the IFS video and transmission solutions will also be on show. The company will present a full range of high definition cameras, a set of newly launched DVRs and NVRs as well as a selection of the company's broad offering in transmission products. The highlight, however, will be the uniquely powerful Truvision Navigator, a single backwards compatible software solution which allows you to configure and manage the full suite of UTC video products while protecting your investment towards the future.

Next to the seamless integration of Casi hardware in the Onguard Solution, and the highlight in the Lenel Enterprise Security product range will be the Prism Video Management System, an open IP video management system (VMS) using LNVR or Ultraview recording engines, available as standalone VMS or integrated into Onguard.

For critical risk applications such as datacentres and storage facilities, a new line of advanced aspirated smoke detection devices will provide the earliest possible warning of potential fires. Finally, a particularly important launch in the fire market will be a new end-to-end wireless solution which is being introduced to UTC's best-selling Ziton range.

“With its global leadership in key areas of security and fire technology UTC has been investing strongly in the tools and technology available to system installers,” says Kevin Swann, UTC’s UK Country Manager. “We’re very excited about the technical innovations that we are bringing to market and unveiling at Ifsec this year.”
