Freedor is a wireless device that is installed at the top of a fire door, allowing the door to swing freely, to be left in any position, but closing the door when the fire alarm sounds.

Additional features include both adjustable closing speed and sensitivity and with operation of up to power size 4 (80kg) fire doors. The device allows the door to be set at any angle up to 90 degrees and operate normally until activated. It is suitable for right and left hand swing doors and further more can be installed on the opening or closing side of the door. There is also a night-time release facility, and it incorporates fail-to-safe technology, with a minimum battery life of 12-18 months. Freedor is designed to comply with BS EN 1154, BS EN 1155, BS 7273-4 category C and is CE marked.
