The introduction of Ethernet Power and a Flyback transformers connected over standard Category 5 cable eliminates the need for extra power outlets, expensive extra cabling and once a device is connected to a network it can be made available to many users.
These modified isolation transformers have many applications and for instance will allow powered transmission for HD security cameras, network routers, physical security devices and network time protocol clocks to be linked amongst other things.
