Swift Credit choose PIPS ANPR
UK
Swift's vehicle has been fitted with externally-mounted PIPS' P362 ANPR cameras, which are connected to the innovative PAGIST (Police ANPR Graphic Information System) software located inside the vehicle. PIPS' system cross-checks the license plate readings with the pre-loaded PCN database, allowing Swift to automatically search and target the vehicles of individuals with unpaid penalty notices.
Huw Lloyd-Lewis, Managing Director of Swift Credit Services comments "The introduction of PIPS Technology's ANPR system has been a major benefit to Swift Credit Services in the enforcement of unpaid penalty charge notices and parking related fines". The number of penalty charge notices issued in the UK last year rose by 20 per cent to 3.4 million, with motorists outside of London paying out an average of £275,000 a day in parking fines.
Managing Director of PIPS Technology, Paul Negus, comments, "The use of PIPS' innovative ANPR cameras and software by Swift clearly demonstrates the benefits that our tailor-made solutions can bring to the enforcement industry. We are delighted with
the results"
