Speed dome developed for night vision to be shown at IFSEC

Extreme CCTV, a leading supplier of Active Infra-Red Night Vision surveillance equipment, will show the PX100 at IFSEC 2006. Said to be the only pan-tilt-zoom speed dome designed specifically for absolute night vision under Infra-Red.

While most conventional speed domes are designed primarily for PTZ functionality, Extreme CCTV developed the PX100 for outstanding night vision when used with Infra-Red. In test trials the PX100 delivered 180m (~600ft) of high resolution night vision surveillance when used with dual IR illuminators. Typical day-night speed domes are unlikely to produce a usable picture under the same conditions. Performance at 180m (~600ft) was achieved at a full 30 frames per second, eliminating the jerky, blurred images usually produced by conventional speed domes using frame integration.
Featuring mechanical IR-cut filter technology, the PX100 has a 23x LXR zoom module for vivid daytime images and superior low light performance. Optical performance is outstanding, resulting in images with low smear, low streak and excellent anti-blooming characteristics.
PX100 provides comprehensive speed dome functionality, including presets, touring, on-screen display, variable speed control, privacy zones and built-in clock, almost all camera functions can be accessed remotely via the internet. The camera can also be easily integrated into digital video management systems.
PX100 incorporates a vandal-resistant design, in an all weather enclosure for use in harsh outdoor environments. The sleek black finish makes the dome discreet, aesthetically pleasing and vandal-proof.
"Security professionals can now have great night vision performance with speed dome versatility" says Jack Gin, President and CEO of Extreme CCTV.
