These products include TSP Release 6.4, which integrates Webwasher(r) secure content management features along with enhancements to the TSP firewall and VPN capabilities. Two new products were also added to the TSP product portfolio; the TSP 7300 for large enterprises and the new TSP 3450J for the medium-sized enterprise. In addition, the Company announced version 3.2 of the Global Command Center(tm), which provides centralised configuration, management and monitoring of very large secure IP networks. Secure Computing merged with CyberGuard Corporation on January 12, 2006.
The TSP Release 6.4 software brings award-winning Webwasher Web filtering, anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing, content protection, SSL scanning and more to the Common Criteria EAL-4 certified TSP firewall/VPN software. TSP customers can enable individual Webwasher components by activating license keys. TSP Release 6.4 also adds iPv6, link aggregation, active/active high availability and multicast routing support to address the needs of large data center deployments for bandwidth efficiency, the seamless failover of security services and more flexible routing capabilities. Release 6.4 is available as an upgrade to most TSP customers.
Secure Computing also announced new hardware, introducing the TSP 7300 at the high-end of the TSP line. Based on dual-core AMD multiprocessing technology, the TSP 7300 is specially designed to run multiple security applications simultaneously at very high speeds. In addition, the TSP 7300 supports RAID, dual power supplies and redundant fans. At the midrange, the TSP3450J replaces the current 3400J with a RAID-capable platform.
Also announced was Release 3.2 of the Global Command Center (GCC). The Global Command Center allows users to centrally configure, monitor and manage TSP, Classic, Webwasher and SnapGear products, as well as certain third party network elements. Release 3.2 adds a powerful VPN configuration wizard, Security Event Management and configuration domains, making it much easier for network administrators to deploy, monitor and manage large, secure networks.
