Vupoint utilises IP cameras and cloud connectivity to provide video clips of up to 30 seconds length and/or snapshots in response to an alarm trigger from an intrusion or safety alert in addition to providing unlimited real-time video on demand. The video clips and streaming video snapshots can be viewed by users via Risco’s upgraded IRisco smartphone app, enabling them to determine if the alarm poses a real threat, or is a false alarm. The app also includes a direct line to call the local police station or the security service provider should the footage reveal an intrusion, offering Risco Group customers and central monitoring stations a comprehensive level of security and control.

The primary advantage of Vupoint lies in the simplicity of the solution. IP cameras require a simple installation that can be performed quickly by an installer with no specialised training required. The IP cameras are available in both indoor and outdoor versions, do not utilise any zones and can be added in unlimited quantity, ensuring the highest levels of security and safety in all areas of the secured property.

Vupoint can be easily integrated within Risco Group’s Agility 3 and Lightsys 2 intrusion systems, upgrading them to comprehensive video enabled intrusion systems. An additional video-on-demand capability enables users to "look in” on their homes or businesses, providing an rounded sense of control and peace of mind.
