Pelco expands Sarix security camera range

Clovis, Ca (USA)

The Pelco family of Sarix camera systems has now expanded to include two new powerful and affordable mini dome cameras. Pre-sale is now underway for the IM-E Series Environmental and IM-V Series Vandal-Resistant fixed mini dome cameras. With the addition of these new security cameras, the Sarix IM series now includes indoor, outdoor and vandal-resistant models.
“The IM-V and IM-E series deliver a compact and affordable solution for customers looking to utilise the award-winning Sarix technology platform in even the most challenging environments,” says Sara Scroggins, Pelco by Schneider Electric Senior Product Marketing Manager. These two security cameras raise the bar for megapixel mini dome performance by delivering auto focus on every camera, low light performance down to 0.03 lux, up to 1.3 megapixel resolution, and a built-in camera sabotage analytic. “With this level of functionality the IM-V and IM-E series offer a truly remarkable value to our customers,” Scroggins says.

Powerful, resilient and affordable, the IM-V Series Vandal-Resistant security camera is ideal for corrections, facilities, schools, apartment buildings, or any location where video security equipment could be at risk. The IM-E Series Environmental camera is an indoor/outdoor system ready for rain, snow or the most grueling desert heat.

“This is the latest example of how our imaging engineers have been able to adopt the Sarix technology platform to deliver a new solution for the industry,” Scroggins explains. “Our imaging engineers have made tremendous advances with Sarix technology, releasing more than 45 cameras in the first year. This new camera series marks the start of another great year with many more Sarix camera releases to come.”

Sarix IM-E Series and IM-V Series cameras start shipping in January 2011.
