New NSI Scotland Chairman

Maidenhead, Berkshire

The NSI Scottish Region has completed its new line-up with a new Chairman and Assistant Chairman.
NSI Regional Meetings provide an important link between the NSI executive and its NACOSS Gold approved companies within their respective regions.

Alan Baird, Business Development Director of SPG Limited, has succeeded Alan Wheelans as NSI Scottish regional Chairman.  Alan Baird brings a wealth of industry experience to the position having joined the industry in the 1980’s as an apprentice with Thorn Security, soon working his way up the ranks.

In discussing his new role as Regional Chairman, Alan advised: “The NSI Scottish Committee has traditionally been a strong and well attended committee.  Credit for this must be given to the dedication and hard work of my predecessors. It will be a challenge to build on their achievements, but in securing quality speakers, liaising with the newly established Police Scotland and by further enhancing the NSI brand in Scotland, I’m sure we can achieve even more."

The Scottish region completes its line-up with the election of a new NSI Assistant Chairman, David Clark, from ESP Security.  David Clark similarly has a wealth of industry experience.  He has held a variety of positions with a number of NSI approved companies including ADT, Rodgers Security, and for the previous five years, ESP Security.  David has joined the Scottish Committee as their Technical Chairman.

David advises, “Our industry by its very definition is very technical in nature.  The professionalism and knowledge of our approved companies is what makes NSI certificated businesses the market leaders."

In addition, John Menzies, NSI Auditor becomes the Scottish Region’s new Secretary, taking over from the now retired Jim Watson.
