New mini camera range from Samsung for ATM type applications

Chertsey, Surrey

Samsung has introduced a new mini camera range suitable for unobtrusive surveillance, such as ATM monitoring applications.
The SCB-2020 and SCB-3020 are 600 TV line mini day/night cameras incorporating the Samsung A1 DSP chipset. They measure just 44.5 44.5x 20.1mm, have a built-in 3.7mm lens and are supplied complete with a mounting bracket.

Both cameras provide a privacy masking facility to blank out sensitive areas, such as the PIN keypad on an ATM machine. They are also both equipped with a long list of technically advanced features such as Digital Noise Reduction (DNR) and Digital Image Stabilisation (DIS) to deliver images of the highest quality.

Coaxial control compatibility (CCVC and a multi-language on-screen display are just some of the additional user friendly features which make the SCB-2020 and SCB-3020 easy to use and operate. Built-in video analytics, including virtual fence line and loiter detection, adds intelligence to enable security teams to be alerted to suspicious behaviour.

The SCB-3020 features Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) which is able to balance the image in challenging lighting conditions whilst progressive scan prevents blurring upon playback of fast moving subjects.

“Although ideal for ATM applications, the extremely well priced SCB-2020 and SCB-3020 are likely to prove an attractive option for installers who are looking for a compact camera with a small footprint which can, for example, be fixed onto a retailer’s cash desk,” said Peter Ainsworth, Senior Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd.
