New generation of Xentaurix broadcast logger system released

Diepholz, Germany

Artec Technologies AG, one of the technology specialists in the field of development and production of digital video surveillance and streaming media/IPTV systems presents the new generation of the Xentaurix broadcast-logger system, now also available in a Microsoft Silverlight edition during IBC 2010 fair in Amsterdam.
On the one hand broadcast-logger systems are used for TV- and radio broadcast recordings, transmission confi rmations, for clip production and IPTV applications and on the other hand as a personal video recorder (PVR) or as an e-learning platform.

Apart from analogue and digital input signals the new logger generation now can also directly record and replay H.264 and
MPEG-2 streams, allowing it to be used as a stream recorder, too. The exceptionally user-friendly design using drag and drop functionality, an installation assistant and a browser-based player signifies intuitive operation and little training effort. Furthermore, the improved status display of the modules makes the system administration easier.

Thanks to embedding the Microsoft Expression encoder, customers now have the possibility to use future-oriented, new technologies as Smooth Streaming. In addition the contents to be encoded can now also be processed in the H.264 standard.

“Since the last IBC in 2009 Artec Technologies has not only won new projects, for example, with the Independent Media Commission (IMC) or the Deutsche Welle in Kosovo, but also has introduced very interesting products. The new Silverlight surface of the successful Xentaurix generation surely will inspire many customers and potential buyers“, says Jens Ringlstetter, Vice President Sales & Marketing of Artec Technologies. He adds: „ From 10th to 14th September 2010 our team will be on our booth G35 in hall 7 and is looking forward to many personal talks and product demonstrations”.

The IBC 2010 takes place at the RAI trade fair centre in Amsterdam.
