New Dorgard Effects blends with surroundings
Brighton, East Sussex
Already an established and widely known product, Dorgard, is already installed in thousands of hotels, restaurants, offices, schools and care homes throughout the UK and Europe, and enables fire doors to be legally and safely kept open as it allows the door to close when the fire alarm sounds, preventing the spread of fire and smoke. Installed on to the bottom of the fire door in under 5 minutes, Dorgard monitors the area by "listening" for a continuous fire alarm of 65dBA or higher.
The product consists of a wireless unit with fail-to-safe technology and it improves access throughout buildings in line with the Equality Act 2010. It also complies with BS EN 1155 and is accepted by the Fire and Rescue Service. There is an automatic night-time release facility and it also complies with BS 7273-4 category B. The device is adjustable for sensitivity and is CE marked.
