NetVu-connected network DVR

Hückelhoven, Germany

Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - announces the launch of its latest generation DV-IP Server, a high performance, NetVu Connected, network Digital Video Recorder (DVR) which has been developed to meet the testing demands of professional surveillance applications.

Advanced features now built-in to the new DV-IP Server transform this popular network DVR into a fully scalable, hybrid, system which is Analytics Capable and incorporates the very latest user interface enhancements.

Available in 8, 12 or 16 camera input models, the intuitive colour coded graphical user interface adopted for the DV-IP Server ensures that it is easy to set-up and minimises operator training. New interface capabilities, which can be accessed locally and remotely via a web browser, include embedded camera selection maps, and an intuitive video timeline to replace 'goto' as the de facto search technique.

The latest incarnation of the DV-IP Server also supports deep integration with Dedicated Micros Oracle, indoor and outdoor, dome camera. Specifically, it delivers an on-screen 'Point & Go' PTZ control capability, which allows users to simply click on the point of interest on screen, and the Oracle automatically moves to the required position - just like a preset - fast and accurate.

Being Analytics Capable means that the DV-IP Server now offers the potential, in conjunction with a simple software license upgrade, to unlock features such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Object Left and Object Removed.

In addition, the DV-IP Server supports advanced MultiMode Recording to dynamically switch resolution, record rate and compression, in either JPEG or MPEG format, from a wide range of analogue or IP cameras, including the latest CamVu 2000 megapixel camera.

Said Michael Knöckel, european sales manager, Dedicated Micros: "The latest generation DV-IP Server represents a sea change in capability by taking full advantage of our new, industry-leading, embedded system architecture, which is being rolled out across our main product lines. The result is a powerful network DVR which can handle analogue and digital inputs, be controlled through attractive colour-coded user interfaces, support video analytics and, being NetVu Connected; readily communicate with a wide range of compatible network DVRs and Servers."
