The system is constructed from the following three main components:
1. Remote Observation System (ROS)- An array of two MTC-1500 cameras (a PTZF thermal camera integrated with a daylight CCD camera) manufactured by Magal.
2. Wireless Communication Array (WCA) running over LAN.
3. Observation and Recording System - Viewing, recording and intelligent content analysis (IVA) system based on Magal's DreamBox - All-in-One Video Surveillance solution.
The system is supplied in easy to carry cases with a self sufficient power supply. It is simple to set-up and operate. The three main components operate in the following ways:
a. Remote Observation System (ROS) - The ROS includes a Thermal camera (150 mm) and a CCD camera in a single unit mounted on a PTZ pedestal (optional microphone) which is installed on a 2 meter high tripod. The system power is self sustained and enables 4 hours of continuous operation. The system scans a predetermined area in order to detect intrusions or other suspicious movements. The system is controlled remotely from an observation vehicle.
b. Wireless Communication Array (WCA) - The WCA is a Wireless LAN, based on encoded 2.4 GHz WiFi transmission.
This array enables the transmission of the audio and video signals from the ROS over a distance of 1-2 km to the observation and control vehicle. The WCA also enables the command and movement control of Magal's MTC-1500 at the ROS from the observation and control vehicle.
c. Observation and Recording System (ORS) - The ORS is based on the DreamBox developed by Magal. The ORS receives video input from the ROS via the WCA and carries out the following:
1. Displays the video on two TFT 8" screens and plays the audio on speakers.
2. Records and stores the video clips along with the audio signals for a period of a month.
3. Applies an IVA algorithm and displays the alarms and trackers on the monitor.
The ORS controls the ROS including switching between the night and daylight cameras, control of the PTZ and calibration.
