Following this agreement, Nortech will manufacture, using Legic's contactless smart card technology, cost-efficient high-quality readers, which combine robust device, indoor and outdoor use functionality with modern attractive design. A keyboard version and biometric features are also available. Nortech's readers are able to output data in Wiegand, Clock & Data or serial data formats, making it simple to upgrade sites using existing wiring.

The Nortech contactless reader solutions will be a powerful tool to expand functionality of building access to multiple applications such as authentication, electronic payment and PC-log on security systems. Legic's smart card technology for personal contactless identification, with its up to 127 applications, all-in-one card or other credentials, allows for countless integrated and multi-functional applications. The new solutions will offer endless possibilities with comprehensive security for end-users.
