Latest long range vehicle identification system to show in Milan

Groenlo, Netherlands

Nedap AVI, specialists in vehicle identification, detection and management solutions, with offices in Europe, U.A.E, U.S and Singapore will display the latest addition to its long range vehicle identification product line, the uPASS Reach, at the forthcoming Sicurezza 2010 show in Italy next month.
Using the latest in UHF technology, the new Upass Reach Reader guarantees long range vehicle identification up to 4 metres (12ft). Based on the use of battery free, passive UHF transponders, the reader output allows the access control or parking system to open the gate when authorised without the need for card readers or PIN pads. A built-in, high intensity LED provides visual feedback for the user that the tag has been read.

With a consistent reader distance up to 4 metres the new Upass system is a viable, comfortable and cost-effective solution for commercial and residential parking installations such as car parks, gated communities, employee parking access and many more applications. In addition, its integrated fine-tuned antenna and elegant casing makes it ideal for both outdoor and indoor locations.
The new Upass Reach offers enhanced price-performance for those seeking better value than that offered by standard ‘long-range’ proximity card solutions. It also complements Nedap AVI’s existing family of long range readers.
