Latest anti terror detection devices launched from Scanna

Security screening specialists Scanna are showcasing 2 new portable anti-terrorist detection devices that have been specifically developed to meet the challenges of checking unattended bags for explosive devices and for detecting liquid explosives inside drinking bottles at Counter Terror World in December.

For rapid checking of abandoned luggage and suspicious packages, Scanna have developed Scanwedge - a unique range of digital flat panel x-ray imagers that will upgrade any conventional digital or film based portable x-ray units to a much flatter, lighter and robust system.
Scanwedge is available as a complete portable x-ray System or as a Stand-alone Flat Panel X-ray Imager. Police, EOD and Security Operators using polaroid film with Golden generators or any conventional x-ray system such as Scantrak, RTR or Foxray can upgrade these units with the Scanwedge flat panel relatively inexpensively.
In response to the recent aviation threat involving the use of ordinary drinks bottles to carry liquid explosives onto aircraft, Scanna are launching a handheld liquids detector for detecting flammable and explosive liquids inside sealed containers.
The portable device lets you quickly and safely check the contents of various vessels such as plastic and glass bottles as well as aluminium drinks cans. It provides detection of flammable and explosive liquids inside these type of vessels without violation of any seals or tape.
The device is able to distinguish substances such as gasoline, incendiary mixtures, acetone, nitroglycerine, various spirits, ethers and other dangerous liquids from water, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks, dairy products, etc
