IR detection and verification in one

Wilsonville, Or (USA)

Latest TCX cameras from Flir include IR detection combined with video for alarm verification

The new Flir TCX bullet and mini bullet combine 24/7 high-contrast thermal video and built-in video motion detection (VMD) with a level of affordability that the company maintains the industry has never seen before.

Flir believes this is the first class of cameras to combine 24/7 high-contrast thermal video and high-performance built-in video motion detection (VMD) with such an economic price point. Flir thermal cameras give the advantage of viewing a scene clearly in complete darkness without any illumination, in bright sunlight, through smoke, dust or even light fog. As a result, because these cameras are more reliable than visible cameras, the high-contrast thermal imaging results in a dramatic reduction in false alarms.

Delivering intrusion detection, video alarm verification, lighting control, people counting, retail traffic flow and queue management, TCX enables a whole new range of applications for thermal imaging in one affordable device.

These new cameras are easy to integration into just about all environments.  Flir mobile apps enable the plug and play feature plus they can be added to the Flir network or to MPX recorders.  Other features include the tri-mode connection including IP, MPX (HDCVI) and analogue video outputs. They can be powerd by PoE Class 3 & 12 VDC and used both indoors and outdoors with an IP66 rating. Operating temperature range is from -40°C - 50°C (Anti-Ice) so these cameras can even be deployed in cold climates.

Additional features include a high-performance AGC, and they are ideal for use with 3rd-party video analytics solutions.
