The International sports security summit built on its established reputation for attracting the most respected speakers in their fields to deliver timely, practical and relevant information and advice to delegates who represented major events around the world.

Delivering the key messages was a line-up of speakers whose unparalleled expertise has been honed over events including the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, Rugby and Cricket World Cups, the English Premier League and major US events including Super Bowl and the NBA All Star game.

While their experiences differed in the detail, their core message was consistent. Security must be at the very heart of the event management process, that security must be a key component of planning in every functional area of an event and that the security threat to sports events may change but will never disappear.

With 88% of delegates scoring the conference structure and content excellent or good, the third international sports security summit delivered on its promise to provide a genuine global forum for discussion and knowledge sharing in a critical area.
