IIPSEC 2007 grows 25 percent
Coventry, UK
Yet again IIPSEC proved the need for a 'focused technology' and 'market education event' is strong as visitors traveled from far and wide to see the latest in IP and Network related security solutions.
IPfocus Editor, Paul Hennings confirmed, "...from personal experience and having spoken to many exhibitors and our readership, IIPSEC is considered to be the place to be when there is business to be done". Adding "Year on year the quality of both visitors and exhibits increases at a pace"
Event director and show Organizer Kevin Fagan stated "Clearly the show has seen an increase in footfall but it's also been particularly rewarding this year to see that the education programme continues to develop"
Kevin continued "It's a clear and definite indicator that the market is really starting to take off. We believe creating a forum for learning genuinely stimulates the sector and that once the knowledge is absorbed the market will meet and likely exceed current expectations"
Conference chair person Peter Manolescue added "The conference was light years ahead of last year's event which in itself was a strong programme - the new format and the quality of the speakers shined through. Interestingly it is clear from the case studies presented that for medium and large security system users there is a transition towards integrating the system into the operational requirements of the business"
Carl Spencer, sales manager of Network products at event sponsor and exhibitor Norbain SD said "This year's IIPSEC show provided us with an invaluable opportunity to find out more about how our customers feel about IP. As usual, we saw a high quality of visitor, but it also seems that the knowledge base of the installers we met has risen considerably in the past 12 months. Instead of asking what IP was all about, there were more conversations on its suitability for particular projects they were involved with"
