Honeywell shortlisted for two Ifsec Awards

Honeywell has just announced that it has been short-listed in two categories for the prestigious IFSEC Awards, Sunderland Housing Group jointly with 2020Vision Systems for Best Security Project and WIN-PAKTM Pro Central Station for Best New Access Control Product. The awards ceremony will take place on Monday 8th May at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel at the NEC.

The Sunderland Housing Group project involved the implementation of an integrated security concierge system that provides 24/7 security surveillance from a central control room to 23 fully refurbished tower blocks across the city. The result is a safer community that enjoys peace of mind. The security system has helped to reduce vandalism and anti-social behaviour towards tenants. The Honeywell Maxpro 1000 enabled an holistic integration of access control, video door entry, CCTV, intruder alarm and fire detection systems - using a 'cause and effect' approach. The security systems are linked by wireless communications over a secure LAN, throttled to 1MB broadband per link, for high quality transmission of voice, video and data.
WIN-PAKT Pro Central Station is an innovative software product enabling access control security solutions to be implemented at smaller or remote sites, where historically the installation of a full access system would have been cost prohibitive for end users. Operators can manage security systems at multiple locations from one centralised user interface, without the need for software or dedicated PCs to be installed at remote end user sites. However, using the unique web-browser, end user locations can still interact with the central software via their standard work PCs. Jeremy Kimber, UK Marketing Leader for Honeywell Access Systems and Adrian Johnson from installer CTAC, will present a WIN-PAK Pro Central Station application at IFSEC on Monday 8 May at 12pm, in the end user seminar theatre.
