Hanwha AID in the running for an innovation award at Intertraffic in Amsterdam next week

The Wisenet Automatic Incident Detection (AID) solution, which has been developed as a result of Hanwha Techwin and analytics specialist Sprinx Technologies combining their expertise, has been shortlisted for an Intertraffic Amsterdam Innovation Award.

Wisenet AID is one of three solutions on the shortlist for the prestigious Traffic Management category which has been announced by an international jury of transportation experts. The winner will be announced at the opening ceremony of the Intertraffic Amsterdam exhibition taking place 20-23 March 2018 at RAI Amsterdam.

“We are proud that together with Hanwha Techwin we have developed a solution which has been recognised as being innovative by the World's leading traffic Industry event. This is further confirmation of the power of the combination of our mutual technologies and expertise.,” said Paola Clerici, General Manager and Commercial & Marketing Director of Sprinx Technologies s.r.l. “We have trust in our partnership with Hanwha Techwin, which is why we have decided to work only with their video surveillance products and are making every effort to promote our joint solution in the traffic management market.”

The Wisenet AID solution takes full advantage of the massive processing power of the chipset incorporated into Wisenet X cameras. This allows all application functions to simultaneously operate on the edge and offers a competitive advantage over other cameras which may only able to deliver a limited number of functions at one time. Wisenet X cameras are also equipped with a ½” full HD image sensor which offers Hanwha Techwin technology partners, such as Sprinx Technologies, the freedom to develop innovative, practical features which provide real-world benefits to end-users.

In addition, 3D object recognition technology, which is which is unique to the Wisenet AID solution, significantly negates the risk of false alarms compared to conventional 2D technology used in other cameras.
