GJD launches the D-Tect 40 programmable external detector

Oldham, Lancashire

GJD, the specialist U.K. manufacturer of external movement detectors and beams, has announced the launch of its new D-Tect 40 external detector, which uses a unique optical system which allows for the beam range to be programmed from 20 to 40 metres, thus avoiding boundary overspill and making them particularly effective for perimeter detection.
Each D-Tect 40 external detector is supplied as standard with both 4m and 8m wide lenses and is fully BS8418 compliant. Other adjustable features within the detector include pulse count, LED on/off, photocell adjustment and the configuration and reset time of the relays.

As with all GJD external detectors, the D-Tect 40’s detector module orientation is uniquely hidden behind a fully tamper-proof front cover, which makes it impossible to tell which way the detector is orientated.

GJD’s Managing Director, Mark Tibbenham commented, “We are really pleased to have developed and launched the D-Tect 40 external detector, which was conceived following customer feedback informing us of a gap in the market for this type of detector.”
