Genie launches new range of HD serial digital interface security cameras

Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire

Genie's new HD-SDI (high definition serial digital interface) cameras in 1.3 megapixel (720p) or 2.1 megapixel (1080p) resolutions deliver all the benefits of high definition broadcast style video over coax in 16:9 wide screen format.
The range consists of bodied cameras (HDC131 & HDC201), bullet style IR cameras (HDB131IR & HDB201IR), internal mini domes (HDMDF202), external vandal resistant dome cameras (HDVDF202, HDVD131IR & HDVD201IR) as well as 4 and 8 channel HD-SDI digital video recorders (HDDVR4 & HDDVR8).

HD-SDI enables the transmission of uncompressed digital video which is of greater quality than IP but uses the same installation method as analogue coaxial cable. One of the main benefits of HD-SDI technology is that there is zero loss of image data and zero latency when viewing images. Other features of the new Genie HD-SDI camera range include digital noise reduction, mechanical IR cut-filter, 20 privacy zones, alarm in/out and RS-485 support.

Binit Shah, Genie's EMEA Sales & Marketing Manager says "Our HD-SDI product range operates on a progressive scan of up to 1080p (1980x 1080 pixels) and 50/60FPS boasting impressive picture quality. Our HD-SDI 4 & 8 channel DVRs support 120FPS and offer a massive 64Tb of external storage. One of the main benefits of HD-SDI technology is that there is zero loss of image data and zero latency when viewing images."
