First integrated platform for bodycams

Zaltbommel, The Netherlands

Bart van der Aa, CEO of Zepcam - "This solution makes Zepcam the first company that offers an integrated platform for bodycams and mobile cameras."

Dutch technology company Zepcam is expanding its product portfolio with the Mobile Video Box 4G, a robust solution that enables existing security cameras to live stream over 2G/3G/4G and Wifi.

Zepcam’s T1 Live bodycam solution already enables clients to work with real-time video from bodycams in the field. The Mobile Video Box now brings Zepcam’s mobile live video solution to cameras on vehicles, drones and vessels and enables rapid deployment of temporary security cameras at, for example, large events.

The Mobile Video Box 4G makes it possible to record HD video from up to 4 cameras and simultaneously stream the video to command and control rooms, computers, tablets and smartphones. Bart van der Aa, CEO of Zepcam explains. ‘The Mobile Video Box allows police forces to have real-time footage of cameras on, for example, police vehicles in addition to live bodycam images of officers in the field. This greatly improves the possibilities to remotely assess and anticipate to critical situations in the field leading to improved public safety.’

Cameras connected to the Mobile Video Box 4G can be remotely activated, managed manually but can also be activated using ‘event-triggers’ such as a panic button, GPS location and movements (e.g. when opening the door of a truck). Video is stored locally for evidence and can be uploaded wirelessly.

Van der Aa continues.  ‘The box is an extension of our end-to-end mobile video platform, from stream box to video management software. Zepcam’s mobile video solution can be integrated with software of other vendors for example for control rooms. This solution makes Zepcam the first company that offers an integrated platform for bodycams and mobile cameras.’
