FFE announces new managing director

Ian Steel has been promoted to managing director of beam-type smoke detector specialists Fire Fighting Enterprises Ltd. Ian previously held the role of sales & marketing director for the company, having been promoted a year after originally joining in 2005 as sales & marketing manager.
His intimate knowledge of the FFE business saw him oversee the recent worldwide launch of the innovative Fireray 5000 beam detector, and he brings valuable market, sales and technical experience with him from previous roles with employers such as Molecular Products Ltd., Leyland and Birmingham Ltd. and BS&B Safety Systems Ltd. Ian trained in chemistry at Halton College in the North West, and has studied Business with the Open University.
When asked about his thoughts on the promotion, Ian said: "I am understandably very pleased, and, knowing the team and what we have here at FFE, feel confident that we will continue to develop and grow as a business and build on our already excellent reputation within the worldwide fire industry".
