Jon Shamah comments: "Now more than ever, the safety of the individual and that of the digital economy relies on strong and secure interconnected IT systems.” He continues: "EEMA provides a vital forum for European businesses to share and communicate their experience and expertise in cybersecurity and digital identity. As the only Europe-wide association to provide such an environment, EEMA’s reputation in driving open discussions on key issues in these domains has grown over many years, through its active promotion of networking events and its participation in European projects.”
Jon Shamah will replace the outgoing Chairman, David Goodman, who will remain as an active member of the EEMA Board, in September.
Shamah concludes: "I am honoured to have been chosen as the next chairman of EEMA and I hope to build on David Goodman’s work to increase and deepen EEMA’s role as a key contributor to the European Digital Community.”
His first official duty will be to open the ISSE 2014 conference and exhibition that takes place in Brussels on 14th and 15th October.
