Dorgard is favourite at Doncaster racecourse

Doncaster, South Yorkshire

Following a £34m re-development, Doncaster Racecourse, Exhibition and Conference Centre has installed Dorgard wireless fire door retainers to legally and safely hold open fire doors.
Doncaster Racecourse management say: "The Dorgards allow us to keep our fire doors open safely and legally, enhancing access and letting customers and staff move about easily without compromising fire safety. Installation also proved to be very easy with no disruption - a perfect solution."

Dorgard enables fire doors to be legally and safely kept open as it allows the door to close when the fire alarm sounds, preventing the spread of fire and smoke. Installed on to the bottom of the fire door in under 5 minutes, Dorgard listens for a continuous fire alarm of 65dBA or higher.

Features include wireless operation with fail-to-safe technology, improved access throughout buildings in line with the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act). The devices are compliant with BS EN 1155 and accepted by the Fire and Rescue Service. They are available in a variety of colours and finishes. There is an automatic night-time release facility and the product also complies with BS 7273-4 category C. In addition they include adjustable sensitivity and are CE marked.
