Domonial wireless alarm system launched in UK

Honeywell has just announced the launch of the new EN 50131 1 compliant, Domonial wireless intruder alarm system featuring a unique mobile keypad, and providing a high performance family friendly system for residential requirements.

The Domonial wireless intruder alarm system is compact in design and aesthetically pleasing to suit all home environments. It is widely used in the residential market across Europe, where over 600,000 systems have been installed over the last 10 years. Domonial is now available in the UK
The new TCU2-800m mobile radio keypad is similar in size to a TV remote control or mobile phone with LCD display. The LCD provides the end user with step by step instructions on how to operate each function of the alarm system, offering greater convenience and comfort, as the keypad can be used in any room in the house. In addition, it displays information about the status of the alarm; options to arm or disarm the system in full or part, and programming for tag or user-code configurations and producing activity reports.
The Domonial wireless intruder alarm is a flexible 20-zone control panel, which being wireless is quick and easy to install, with little interference in the existing décor. Full installation can be completed in less than two hours as cable is only required for the mains power supply or PSTN, if required. Faster installation time allows installers to increase the number of residential installations they complete in a day. An added benefit of the mobile keypad is that it can be used as an engineering tool for system testing, giving installers a range of test functions for each of the wireless peripherals to ensure performance after installation and during maintenance checks.
Domonial has been designed with a built-in communicator to enable remote diagnostics, programming and maintenance, which saves installers time by potentially reducing the amount of site visits required. If alarm activation occurs, the Domonial transmits a signal to the alarm receiving centre (ARC) or monitoring station by PSTN, GSM or SMS text message.
Domonial operates on the reserved security frequency of 868 MHz which makes it suitable for domestic use, with no interference between neighbouring properties. It has low power consumption rates and peripheral batteries that are designed to last for up to four years. It operates with up to four key fobs as well as up to four wireless internal and external sirens or wireless relays. The system allows up to 10 users with pin codes or tags. Wireless peripherals include glass break detectors, PIR detectors with 10 metre range (pet immune model also available), magnetic contacts for doors and windows and a smoke detector.
