NetVu ObserVer, including these new features, is available as a free download.
Dedicated Micros NetVu ObserVer viewing software now includes a range of features that offer users remote monitoring support including:
+ Auto event distribution to multiple user stations
+ Auto recording of all locally viewed video
+ An SQL database of recieved alarms with event closure characterisation
+ Session management to enable multiple events from a single site to be handled as a single alarm session
+ Alarm session characterisation to enable accurate recording of all event causes
+Report generation capabilities to enable both billing and maintenance management.
These features make NetVu ObserVer capable of supporting RVRC (Remote Video Response Centre) operation in accordance with BS8418 and are designed to provide users and operators with a remote viewing and alarm management capability that seamlessly connects to locally positioned DVR's and cameras without the need for extensive integration.
Dedicated Micros has introduced support for MultiMode Recording into the latest release of NetVu ObserVer.MultiMode Recording gives you the ability to set different record rates, resolutions and compression algorithms across scheduled, normal and alarm modes.
This allows increased flexibility to adjust resolution (QCIF to 4CIF), record rates and compression settings (MPEG-4/JPEG) dynamically on individual cameras and across the whole unit. To support this innovative DVR feature, the latest release of NetVu ObserVer will automatically detect and switch between MPEG-4 and JPEG recorded images on event or alarm.
MultiMode Recording delivers paradoxically higher record rates, without incrementally increasing hard disk storage requirements. Recording can be tailored to meet the requirements of the customer, providing high quality images when and where they are needed.
MultiMode Recording is included in all new releases of the new DS2, BX2, DV-IP Server, DV-IP ATM, DS Server and TransVu.
NetVu ObserVer now incorporates map support in its GUI. Users are able to use map images and floor plans to identify camera locations around a site, installation or CCTV network. Clicking on the relevant camera will instantly connect the user to the camera image stream.
The addition of the free Map Editor plug-in allows users to construct their own network of site plans for use in NetVu ObserVer.
NetVu ObserVer v1.5x remotely controls the following NetVu Connected Products;
The new DS2 Eco9
DV-IP ATM Eco16
